Atlantic Canadians have a deep connection to the ocean and a long history of working with the resources it provides. We know how strong the wind can be along the coast, and offshore the potential is even greater for generating clean, renewable energy.
Offshore wind farms, developed through transparent and meaningful collaboration with Indigenous rights holders, coastal communities, and other stakeholders, could play a central role in building a resilient energy future. They can create local jobs, support thriving communities, and contribute to Canada’s transition to a low-carbon economy.
The Atlantic Offshore Wind Coalition works to ensure this opportunity is pursued responsibly. Our work is guided by the pillars of Respect, Regulation, and Responsibility.
